CALL FOR ARTISTS

THEME: COMMUNITY

We are inviting local Queens artists to submit their art to a three week exhibition at Yant Art Space with an opening reception.

HOW TO APPLY

Eligibility & Submission Guidelines
 - Artists may submit up to 3 small - medium sized artworks. Artwork dimensions may not exceed 16”w x 24”h (frame included).
 - Please submit all 2D artwork, including but not limited to illustration, fine arts, mixed media, collage, photography, etc. We cannot accept sculptures or 3D objects.
 - Additional artworks exceeding 3 pieces may be submitted at $5 per entry.
 - Artwork must be submitted online for consideration. Do not drop off artwork until after you’ve been notified that your artwork has been accepted.
 - As this is a family-friendly and professional development space, we cannot accept explicit artwork at this time.
 - We have the right to decline artwork.
 - The submission fee is on the call for art; there will be no refund for declined artwork.

Important Dates

 - Opening Reception: Sunday, March 8th, 4:00 - 7:00pm
 - Rolling approvals will begin on Friday, February 27th
 - Artwork drop-off: no later than Thursday, March 5th, by 6:00pm
 - Exhibit Duration: 3 Weeks
 - Closing Date: Sunday, March 29th, until 6:00pm
 - If not sold, please pick up your artwork on March 30th or 31st

When you are approved:
 - Please have all artwork framed and/or ready to hang. Artwork not framed or properly fastened will not be hung for display.
 - You will need to provide the title, medium, and price of your accepted pieces.
 - QTS and Yant Art Space do not provide artists with insurance for the duration of the exhibit.
 - QTS will provide all artists with marketing materials (flyers and hashtags), and will provide assets for the artists to make their own, should they choose to.
 - Artist will be provided with a contract to read and sign once artwork has been approved. Contract must be signed and submitted before or during drop-off.
 - QTS will take a 25% commission for artworks sold for the duration of the exhibit. The artist will take 75%.
